Reflective journal
Context: Postgraduate, Finance, small cohort (1-29 students), 20% weighting, feedback provided on rubric. Subject is accredited.
Students are taught a concept during the lecture and this is applied to case studies during the tutorial. Students are asked to complete an individual reflection integrated with personal experiences – the student is asked whether they agree or disagree with the concept and the literature. Students are asked to reflect on what further concepts they may need to explore or review in the subject.
Challenges in this type of online assessment include
- Time intensive to read and mark this assessment, however it is used as a summative final assessment. Not all students request feedback.
